Chimney Installation Pre-requisites

Chimney Size

• Big chimneys can suck up smoke and grease from your hob even when a little displaced. But if your chimney size is the same as that of the hob, it is very important to place the chimney directly above it. If you have a smaller chimney, then match the center of the chimney and the hob.

Distance between Chimney and Hob

• The installation area/ wall over gas stove must have free space as per the requirement of the product. If there are cabinets above the gas stove where installation needs to be made, there should be a gap of 60.5cm for 60 cm chimney and 90.5cm for the 90 cm chimney between the cabinets.
• In case there is a window above the gas stove and installation is required on the window (grills), the feasibility of installation will have to be confirmed by the technician before proceeding with the installation.

Core cutting for chimney duct in the external wall

• There should be a 6-inch-wide circular cut-out in the external wall for the chimney duct. This cut-out should be made on the external wall at a height of 7 feet from floor level or above the window-lintel level.

• In case there is no pre-existing circular cut-out in the kitchen, then try to give the contract to the chimney installer to make the core cutting in the correct position of the external wall for installation of the chimney. Another way to deal with such a situation could be by using the cut-out or position of the external exhaust fan for passing the chimney pipe through it.

Chimney duct

• he chimney duct should not be more than 8 feet long. Choose an appropriate position for the chimney such that the piping that connects to the outdoors is short, to ensure maximum efficiency in terms of the air suction power of the chimney
• The free installation kit that comes along with the chimney consists, chimney mounting bracket, duct mounting bracket, screws for chimney mounting bracket and duct mounting bracket and screws, rawal plug.

Chimney dismantle

• The old kitchen chimney, if any, should be easily dismountable. While dismounting the old kitchen chimney, it is possible that the wall clamp/ old duct pipes/ c-camp/ end cap cowl cover, might get damaged, Therefore it is advisable to purchase new accessories from the technician

Chimney installation accessories

• Additional accessories that would be required for ducting mode of installation like (apart from the standard accessories available in the installation like c-clamps, washers, screws and end cap cowl cover and metallic foil tape will be provided by the technician on a chargeable basis.

Services

• If you are availing the service, no inspection charge, pay only the service charge. Incase you are not availing the service you have to pay the stove inspection charge 199/-, Hob inspection charge 299/-, Chimney inspection charge 299/- extra
• If you shifted your chimney from different site it might not work due to damage during transportation for that we are not responsible, we only provide warranty for our service.
• Our technicians could not bring stools or ladders for chimney cleaning, customer have to provide the same.
